Why we bridge here
San Pedro sits on Ambergris Caye, ten minutes by boat from the finest diving in the western hemisphere. There are almost no cars, the streets are sand, and the barrier reef is close enough to swim out to.
Ambergris Caye is a mix of Creole, Mestizo and Garifuna Belizeans and a long-established expat community, and everything happens outdoors. Fishing and diving run the island, and the food is whatever came off the boat that morning.
